This chocolate protein smoothie does not require protein powder! With 20 g of protein per serving, it is a family-friendly protein smoothie that tastes delicious, with no gross aftertaste or weird ingredients!
1cupsoy milk(other milk will work, but may alter protein content)
1tablespoonpeanut butter(or other nut butter)
1tablespooncocoa powder
1largebanana, frozen*
2medjool dates, pited
1tablespoonhemp seeds or chia seeds
1/4cupchickpeas, drained and rinsed
Instructions
Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until creamy and smooth. Serve immedietly.
Notes
*The banana needs to be frozen for creamy texture of this smoothie. If you don't have a frozen banana, use a regular banana and a handful of ice cubes.
