4 Ingredient Oatmeal Raisin Cookies! These naturally-sweetened vegan and gluten-free cookies are perfect for kids of all ages.
These are the cookies we’ve been making on repeat lately.
Being at home with our boys right now means that we’re spending a lot of time in the kitchen. These cookies were born out of a desire to create a healthy, minimal snack or dessert that didn’t require too many ingredients.
The hardest part about these 4 ingredient oatmeal raisin cookies is waiting for the bananas to ripen! You’ll need to make sure that your bananas are very ripe, as they are providing most of the sweetness in this recipe. Starchy, more green bananas won’t work the same.
How to Make Vegan Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Grab your ingredients! You only need four– ripe bananas, peanut butter, oats, rasins, and a dash of cinnamon if you have it.
Mash the bananas until no large lumps remain, then mix in the peanut butter. You can use other nut butters if you’d like, or sunflower seed butter!
From there, mix in rolled oats, raisins and a dash of cinnamon. The batter should be fairly thick and easy to dollop onto a baking sheet.
Preheat the oven to 350F degrees; then spray or line a baking sheet with parchment paper. We LOVE this cookie scoop for making cookies– it’s easy to pop the batter out and our kids love squeezing the handles to help us.
Can you add in other ingredients?
Yes! You can throw in chopped walnuts (or other nuts), chocolate chips or anything else you like in your cookies!
If we have it, we also like a little nutmeg or vanilla extract in these as well.
Can I sub in other nut butters?
Any other nut butter will work in these cookies; you can also sub in sunflower seed butter or tahini for a nut-free option.
We hope you love these cookies as much as we do! If you try them, make sure to come back and rate them and leave a comment. We love seeing you make our recipes and your feedback helps others!

Amazingly delicious with so few ingredients! Thank you for this simple and versatile recipe!
So simple yet satisfying. A great option for when you have ripe bananas but don’t want to make banana bread again! Guilty pleasure without the guilt…even as “breakfast cookies”!
We made them for a second time today and the littles enjoyed helping. We also did a pumpkin chocolate chip version that was falltastic! We’re going to try apple and salted caramel next!
How long do they last?
About 4ish days in the fridge
Hello! My little one is 18 months and don’t have a lot of teeth/great biting yet, would you still recommend this? Could I subsitute some of the oats to something like almond meal?
Thank you! Love all your tips and recipes! ☺️
Cindy
Hi Cindy, should be ok for that age! They are pretty soft.
Would these be okay for an 8 month old baby?
Any tips for baby-led weaning and my fear of baby choking?!
Thanks!
Hi Kira, the raisins would pose a choking hazard for 8-months; we’d recommend making them without the raisins.
Can I use sprouted oats instead?
Yes
Such a great, quick and simple recipe!! My toddler loves these!
