Plant Based Juniors 2023 Gift Guide

November 27, 2023 Alex Caspero and Whitney English

Well, it’s almost December, which means you’re likely thinking about upcoming holiday gifts (or are already done!)  If you’re wondering where the year went, we’re right there with ya!

Tis the season for giving – and around this time, we love to share our tried-and-true favorite products for kids.

Some items below are affiliate links, meaning we make a small commission if you buy them. Everything listed in this guide is things we own and have purchased ourselves. We only recommend what we truly love!

Here we go.

Cute Books for Kids

Every Night is Pizza Night: While not a plant-based book, this is a great book to teach about exploring different foods. It’s one of Alex’s kids’ favorites and I’ve gifted it so many times!

I Eat Poop: A Dung Beetle Story: This is a heartwarming story about a young dung Beetle’s struggle with insecurity and owning his identity.

Linus the Vegetarian T-Rex: This is a cute story about a dinosaur who isn’t afraid to be himself!

Bath Toys

Non-Toxic Bath Color Drops: Whitney’s kids are obsessed with bath bombs and she loves that they are an incentive to get to the tub on time!

Fun and Games

Zingo Game: It says it’s for ages 4 and up, but Caleb and Ella both love this one and even play it by themselves. Easy to play and fun as a family!

Build a Robot Puzzle Spinner Game: Both Whitney’s kids love this fun, easy game where they get to make a new cool robot each game.

Learning Resources Robots in Motion Building Set: Whitney’s son loves to build and robots are his favorite. This fun set allows you to design and build your own robot with endless configurations.

KidWise Rainbow Bounce House: This is definitely more of a splurge gift, but we both have one and it’s been well worth the money. Alex bought one in late 2020 and claims it was her best purchase of the pandemic. Whitney just bought this for Ella’s birthday… no more having to rent a bounce house for parties!

Band in a Box: For little music lovers, this band in a box is such a cute gift. Alex gave it to Emery last year for Christmas and it’s been a toy both kids have played with all year long.

Brio Train Set: Our first Brio set was actually my husband’s from when he was a kid. My MIL hung onto it and gave it to Caleb when he was 2. We’ve continued to build upon it year after year and now have a large collection that at 5 years old he still plays with all the time.

Tonie Box Starter Set: The perfect activity for quiet time once your kiddo ditches their naps.

Construction Belt Kit: Another beloved gift that Alex’s son Vander enjoyed for years. My husband built a mini tool bench for him to go alongside and he loved getting to work with his ‘tools’.

Food and Kitchen Themed

First Foods Set: If you’ve got a little one who is ready to start solids, this is the perfect feeding set from EZPZ. The cup is one of our favorite feeding products!

Kids Gardening Set: If you have little garden helpers, then you’ll love this cute kit. It even comes with seeds that your littles can plant!

Mini Kitchen Sink (with real running water): Yes, with real running water! Your kids can do the dishes alongside you. We have this in our play kitchen and our kids love doing the dishes as they serve food in their restaurant.

Convertible Kitchen Helper: A must-have once your babe is able to stand on their own and help in the kitchen. We both have this and use it daily with our kids. It’s such a great way to bring them into the kitchen with you. We highly recommend this one!

Farmer’s Market Fruit Stand: This fruit stand is a favorite in our house. If your kids love pretend play, then this farmer’s market stand is sure to be a hit.

Shoes and Cozy Things

Vegan Chelsea Boots: Alex grabbed these for Emery earlier this fall and we can’t say enough good things about them! They are so cute with pants and dresses, made with vegan leather, and super durable and comfortable. I also grabbed the high-top version for my son. We don’t do a lot of shoes as they grow out of them so quickly, so I like to get 1 nice pair at a time that they can wear over and over again until the next size. Ten Little Shoes are some of my favorites! They are on sale until the end of the month.

Pillow Beds: Alex’s mom gifted these to both kids earlier this year, and it’s become one of our favorite products of 2023. My kids love to lay on them to watch movies, to sleep on our floor, and even to bring them to Nana’s house to sleep there. They are so soft and machine-washable once you remove the pillows!

Cozy Slippers: Another great item from one of our favorite mom-owned brands, Ten Little. These have an elastic band for easy on and off and are perfect for chilly mornings around the house.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy holiday season! We hope your family finds these gifts as fun (and practical!) as we have.
