These refreshing tropical mango pineapple popsicles are made simply with fruit and have a surprising, nutritious ingredient!
When the summer heat is at its peak, there’s nothing more refreshing than sharing a cold and flavorful popsicle with your kiddo. And for those looking for healthier alternatives, we have the perfect recipe that combines nutrition and taste: Tropical Mango Pineapple Popsicles. These delightful frozen treats are not only a super flavorful kid-favorite but they also pack a hidden punch of nutrients thanks to a secret ingredient: carrots!
Tropical Mango Pineapple Popsicle Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mango
- 1/2 cup pineapple
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup carrots
- 1 cup full-fat coconut milk
- 1 date
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds (optional)
How to Make These Popsicles
Start by adding all your ingredients to a high-powered blender. Blend until smooth and then pour into your favorite popsicle mold. Option to include the hemp seeds for a protein and omega-3 fatty acid boost or omit.
This is a great recipe to make with your kiddos. My daughter Ella loves helping to measure the ingredients, remove the pitt from the dates, and add the popsicle sticks to the mold.
Having your child add the ingredients, especially the carrots, also ensures you’re being transparent about what is in them. We’re not fans of hiding veggies, but we fully support an above-board nutrient boost!
Tropical Mango Pineapple Popsicles
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mango
- 1/2 cup pineapple
- 1/2 cup carrots
- 1 banana
- 1 cup full-fat coconut milk
- 1 date
- 1 tbsp hemp seeds
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into popsicle mold of choice.
- Freeze for at least 2 hours.
- Store in an airtight container or individually wrapped plastic.
How to Store
If your little ones can resist eating all the popsicles at once, you can store the remaining ones for later. Place the popsicles in an airtight container or wrap them individually in plastic wrap. They’ll last for several weeks in the freezer but we think these popsicles taste best within the first few days of making them.
Ingredient Notes and Substitution Ideas
- Fresh or frozen fruit will work for these popsicles.
- Swap the mangoes for peaches or papaya to create unique tropical variations.
- Substitute pineapple with strawberries or kiwi for a twist on the classic combination.
- Instead of coconut milk, you could try coconut water or soy milk.
- If you don’t have dates, you can replace with a tablespoon of maple syrup.
These Tropical Mango Pineapple Popsicles are not only a delicious summer treat but an easy way to incorporate “learning-to-like” foods like carrots into the diet.
Best Molds for Tropical Mango Pineapple Popsicles
These popsicles work with any mold but we love silicone molds as they are easier to remove. Our favorites are included in our store, including the ones we used in this post. These work great for tiny hands.
